Did this end up working for you, im just curious because I believe that valve should be closed by the oil filter at all times and only pops up when changing the filter to allow fluid to drain down to the pan.... any reply would be great as im struggling with the same issue and it seems to act up only hott and at idle

Hi, I stripped a couple of the oil cooler screws into the housing. I just got the replacement part and the new housing has no threads? Am I suppose to tap a brand new oil filter housing? Supposedly a genuine MBZ part, please someone with more experience with aluminum parts advise me.

For me, the plastic ring was NOT the issue, the spring itself thats coiled up is what popped off. There was not "sliding the ring over" it was press the spring till it coils back into place..

hey man you've saved my life. i had this error once before, replaced the motherboard. a month later error 21 re-occurs. after checking out your video, gave it a try. and behold there was a loose wire from the battery. save me money and precious shipping time. thanks a bunch! oh, 1 more thing, before it worked again, i tried reconnecting the wires and tested it to no avail. gave it a dash of contact spray on the connectors and gave it a try. boom! working again!

I have an 04 that turns on fine, reverses but when I put it on drive it stalls. I out it back in park turn it on and it drives fine. I can put it in gear after that with no problem. Any clue if it could be a fuse?

Use some 500 grip or a little lower wet sand paper, then move up to 800-1000 wetsand paper, on edge of the scuff use 1500-2000 then apply some resin on the area that was scuffed, afterwards let it dry and then use some 1500 on it to level it out and finish with a clear coat polish

Interesting information. I have a Gen I 2005 Xb and it's coding C0205 and C1223 indicating both left side speed sensors. I replaced the front left one but it hasn't cleared the code. Since it's kinda unlikely both left speed sensors would code at the same time I'm wondering about the ABS grounds as mentioned in the above video. The op shows us where the grounding point is on a Gen II 2008 (driver side inside fender well forward of the front tire) but I can't seem to find the ABS grounding points for my 2005 Xb. Anyone know where it's located?

Well I suppose if you dont have a 12mm allen wrench bit, you could use a 12mm hex head bolt (with two juxtaposed nuts to serve as a place for a regular socket wrench).

I had one I beat the crap out of put 170k miles on blew headgaskets and all went coast to coast , and never gave up engine ran and ran , ran it 40 miles overheating , hauled a riding tractor in the back before , hauled shit on top of the roof rack , hauled TVs you name it , and it was a 2.4 N/A not even a turbo did 0-60 in 7seconds flat it wasn’t the slowest thing I’ve been in it had some get up and go after a few small things done to it , all they are is a rebodied Dodge Neon
